Fathers Day/Sunday Afternoon ramblings

Happy fathers day everyone, and I hope all dads out there are having a great day doing nothing at all. Now to today's news:

Brazil was well...Brazil today in the world cup, as they rolled easily today against Didier Drogba and the Ivory Coast, clinching a spot in the round of 16, and ruining any chances of advancing for Ivory Coast, as yet again the African nations continue to disappoint everyone in South Africa.

Italy tied New Zealand earlier also in the World Cup, as the defending champs once again did not look strong against a weak New Zealand team.

Paraguay pounded Slovakia 2-0 in the first game today, as they looked really impressive. Too bad nobody cares

France's entire team quit practice over an arguement between captain Patrice Evra and trainer Robert Duverne, which prompted the resignation of team director Jean-Louis Valentin because he was "ashamed" of the team. This is no big deal though, I mean, it's not like practice would have actually helped the team that hasn't scored a goal and made it to the world cup on a blown call

Greame McDowell won the U.S. Open Tiger Woods lost the U.S. Open at pebble beach today after actually playing good yesterday. I know eventually Tiger will win again, but it will take time. He made progress this weekend, but he is still a few tournaments away form winning again.

Devin Anderson will make his first post on here sometime in the next few days and I'm guessing he will have something to say about Wimbledon. good luck buddy!

On one final note, We still need a new name for the site. please comment below about a new name

Week 13 SEC Preview

Howdy y'all! Happy Thanksgiving! I know alot of us will be spending time with their families, but don't forget, ther is still a ton of sports going on today! But who cares about today. There's only NFL, College Basketball, and Texas @ Texas A&M. Friday and Saturday are where the action is at! Enjoy!

Alabama @ Auburn: Auburn once owned 'Bama in this series, but Bama's finally coming around winning the last 2 meetings. Auburn needs to have a big day out of Ben Tate, control Mark Ingram, and avoid penalties if they want to even have a chance at winning today. Alabama cannot overlook this game to next week, and they won't.
'Bama 24, Auburn 6.

Florida State @ Florida: This won't be close at all. Overlooking to next week? NOT AT ALL. This is Tim Tebow's Senior day, so you bet he wants this one bad. Plus they would love to slaughter Bobby Bowden in perhaps their last meeting. Florida has dominate the 'Noles as of late, and will continue to do so. Florida 44, Florida State 3.

Arkansas @ LSU: This is a must- win game for both teams. Ryan Mallet had a huge game last week, but they lost Michaael Smith for the season during that victory. LSU let their game @ Ole Miss slip away last week, and there needs to be better coaching by Les Miles. Charles Scott also needs to dominate that Arkansas Defense. You bet LSU wants to end their 2 game losing skid against Arkansas, but The Hogs will prevail, 34-21.

ole Miss @ Mississippi State: This is an absolutely meaningless Egg Bowl this year. Missisippi State has already been eliminated from bowl contention, and Ole Miss has almost secured 2nd place in the SEC West. The only thing on the line here is state bragging rights. Ole Miss wins easily, 44-13.

Georgia @ Georgia Tech: Once again, another meaningless rivalry game. Georgia Tech has already won the ACC Coastal division and will face Clemson next week. Georgia choked on Senior Night to Kentucky last week, 34-27. All they can do is watch to see what Bowl they will be heading to. Georgia Tech's Triple Option will be too much for Georgia, Georgia Tech 42, Georgia 28.

Clemson @ South Carolina: Man, what is up with these meaningless rivalrie games this year? Clemson has already locked up the ACC Atlantic, and South Carolina can only watch what happens in the SEC. Spurrier would like to end their skid here in the 2nd half of this season, though. Clemson dominates, 58-20.

Tennessee @ Kentucky: This is the game that everyone in the SEC will be watching! If Kentucky wins, they might end up in Florida on New Years day, and if they fall, who knows where they will go! Tennessee has won 24 straight games in this rivalry, the longest standing streak today. Also add that this is Lane Kiffin's first game in this rivalry. The last time these 2 met in Lexington, It was an epic 4OT victory for Tennessee. Tennessee is coming off of a win vs. Vanderbilt, while Kentucky is coming off a win @ Georgia, their first since 1977. If Kentucky wants to win, Randall Cobb and Derrick Locke must have another week like last week, and they must contain Montario Hardesty. If Tennessee wants to win they must do the exact opposite. This will be a great game, with Kentucky ending the streak, 41-35.

Week 12 SEC Preview

Howdy everybody! What a day of SEC football we have in store for you! Now, Florida and Alabama may already be playing in the championship, but everything else is toss up right now. Enjoy!

Florida International @ Florida: Poor FIU. First Bama, now Florida. This will get ugly. Florida, 61-3.

Chattanooga @ Alabama: Do I even need to say anything more? Alabama 74, Chattanooga 13. Yeah, I'm giving them 13.

Ole Miss @ LSU: This is a huge game in the SEC west. Last year, LSU was slipping when they lost at home to Ole Miss 31-13. You bet that that game will be on LSU's mind going into today. And, 2nd place in the SEC west is in the line. After last weeks thumping of Tennessee, Ole Miss has a good chance of taking this game too. LSU barely survived at home last week vs. Louisiana Tech. Ole Miss will win, 41-33.

Vanderbilt @ Tennessee: Vanderbilt's season will come to an end tonight, and boy will they be glad. It has been quite a rough season. But Tennessee's season hasn't been the greatest, either. They need this win for bowl eligibility. All the more reason for Vandy to win. Vandy will keep it close, but fall, 17-15.

Arkansas vs. Mississippi State (Little Rock): These two teams will meet at Arkansas's home away from home today. Arkansas has already clinche Bowl eligibility, but Mississippi State still has a very slim shot at going to a bowl game this year. Ryan Mallet has been on fire lately, but Arkansas has just recieved word that Michael Smith is out for the season. Anthony Dixon must have a big day if the Bulldogs want a shot at winning today. But, Arkansas will prevail, 21-7.

Kentucky @ Georgia: This is a monumental game for both programs tonight. Georgi can clinch 2nd place in the SEC east with a win, and Kentucky can position themselves to come in 2nd place in the East with a win. Both teams are bowl eligible after wins last week, but both teams might be missing their star receivers. A.J. Green will not play for the dawgs, and Randall Cobb is questionable with a bruised shoulder. Mike Hartline will not be playing, so Morgan Newton must step up tonight. Georgia has also lost one other member of their team, UGA VII. Their live mascot had died last week, and Georgia will have heavy hearts this weekend, but Kentucky will pull it out, 34-30.
